Shiver me timbers!  A sharp frost lent a silver light to the world this morning.  I couldn’t resist going out to capture it.

Yesterday I went in search of Spring.  And came home with the remnants of Summer.

I did find evidence of the new season, but what really caught my attention was the beauty of the plant fruits from last summer.  It was as if Mother Nature was purposely making them hang on in there until Spring boldly marches in to replace them with fresh new beauty.   Such is the annual cycle.

It seems appropriate to me to show full appreciation for the beauty of last summer, autumn and winter, before getting completely wrapped up in the joyful new splendour about to spring upon us.

Whilst out and about last week the late afternoon light provided some lovely reflections.  The man digging on the lake bank on the far right was busily splitting clumps of snowdrops for re-planting for next year.

This lovely looking sheep was curious about me and my camera, until the shutter started to click – then she and her pals shot off to the other end of the frosty meadow.  I liked that she had frost on her coat – it didn’t seem to bother her though.
